What's the best aerator for a 1 acre pond?  We cover three models in our store that have proven to be a great fit for ponds up to 1 acre in size.  They all include a 1/4 HP rocking piston compressor, 100' of airline and a single weighted diffuser.  All of them will cover 1 acre in surface area if the diffuser is placed 12' deep or deeper.

For more shallow ponds, the aerators will work well in 1/4 acre ponds from 5 to 8 feet deep, and 1/2 acre ponds, 8 to 12 feet deep.  Narrow oblong ponds may require an additional diffuser, for the best coverage and two of these models are expandable from one to two diffusers very easily.
