Kasco 5.3JF 5 HP Three-Phase Decorative Pond Fountain

The Kasco 5.3JF is a large 5 HP decorative fountain designed for ponds and lakes with 208–240V three-phase electrical service. With five interchangeable fountain nozzles and displays reaching more than 30 feet high or over 40 feet wide, the 5.3JF creates a substantial visual centerpiece for larger bodies of water.

The standard 5.3JF offered here includes a 100-foot power cord. Longer cord lengths and other electrical configurations are available by quote.

Five Large Fountain Patterns Included

The 5.3JF includes five interchangeable nozzles, allowing you to change from a tall vertical fountain to a broad display without changing the motor or float system. This flexibility is one of the primary advantages of Kasco's J Series.

• Birch: approximately 24' high × 14' wide
• Spruce: approximately 31' high × 12' wide
• Redwood: approximately 32' high × 6' wide
• Linden: approximately 24.5' high × 46' wide
• Balsam: approximately 18' high × 34' wide

For maximum height, Redwood produces a narrow display reaching approximately 32 feet. Linden takes the opposite approach, creating a broad pattern approximately 46 feet across. The other included nozzles provide several choices between those two extremes.

When Does the 5.3JF Make Sense?

The defining difference between the 5.3JF and 5.1JF is the electrical configuration. The 5.3JF operates on three-phase power, making it particularly appropriate for commercial, municipal, golf course, institutional and other properties where three-phase electrical service is already available.

If you want a 5 HP J Series fountain but only have 208–240V single-phase service, the Kasco 5.1JF is the corresponding model to consider. Both provide the same basic fountain size and included display patterns; the electrical service available at the installation site should determine which version you select.

Is the 5.3JF the Right Size for Your Pond?

Kasco suggests the 5 HP 5.3JF for ponds up to approximately 2.5 surface acres. Pond acreage is a useful starting point, but decorative fountain sizing should also consider pond shape, viewing distance, available water depth and how large you want the display to appear in its surroundings.

The 5.3JF requires approximately 26 inches of minimum operating depth. Because several included patterns are more than 30 feet wide, the fountain should be positioned with adequate open water around the display.

Designed for Larger Ponds and Longer Viewing Distances

A fountain that looks large when viewed from the shoreline can appear considerably smaller when viewed from several hundred feet away. This becomes particularly important on larger ponds, golf courses, commercial properties and community lakes.

With displays reaching approximately 32 feet high and 46 feet wide, the 5.3JF has the visual scale needed for locations where the fountain will often be viewed from a distance.

Decorative Fountain or Aerating Fountain?

The 5.3JF provides water movement and oxygen transfer while operating, but its primary strength is large-scale decorative display and pattern flexibility.

If maximum water movement and aeration are your primary objectives and multiple spray patterns aren't important, a Kasco VFX aerating fountain may be the better choice. If visual impact and the ability to change fountain patterns are important, the J Series is designed specifically for that purpose.
