Kasco 5.1JF 5 HP Decorative Pond Fountain

The Kasco 5.1JF is a large 5 HP decorative fountain designed for ponds and lakes where a substantial, highly visible water display is desired. Operating on 208–240V single-phase power, the 5.1JF is an excellent choice when you want the size and visual impact of a 5 HP fountain without requiring three-phase electrical service.

The standard 5.1JF offered here includes a 100-foot power cord. Longer cord lengths and other electrical configurations are available by quote.

Five Large Fountain Patterns Included

The 5.1JF includes five interchangeable fountain nozzles. With patterns reaching more than 30 feet high or as much as 46 feet wide, this fountain is designed to create a strong visual presence on larger bodies of water.

• Birch: approximately 24' high × 14' wide
• Spruce: approximately 31' high × 12' wide
• Redwood: approximately 32' high × 6' wide
• Linden: approximately 24.5' high × 46' wide
• Balsam: approximately 18' high × 34' wide

The difference between these patterns is significant. Redwood produces the tallest and narrowest display, while Linden creates a broad 46-foot-wide pattern. Changing nozzles lets you alter the character of the fountain without replacing the fountain itself.

Why Choose the 5.1JF?

One of the most important features of the 5.1JF is its combination of 5 HP performance and single-phase electrical operation. Many properties do not have three-phase electrical service available near the pond. The 5.1JF provides a large J Series fountain option for installations with 208–240V single-phase service.

If three-phase power is available, the Kasco 5.3JF provides the corresponding 5 HP three-phase option. The decision between these two models should primarily be based on the electrical service available at the installation site.

Is the 5.1JF the Right Size for Your Pond?

Kasco suggests the 5 HP 5.1JF for ponds up to approximately 2.5 surface acres. Acreage provides a useful starting point, but decorative fountain selection should also consider pond shape, water depth, viewing distance and the desired visual scale of the display.

The 5.1JF requires approximately 26 inches of minimum operating depth. Because the included patterns can reach more than 30 feet high and more than 40 feet wide, this fountain is best suited to ponds with enough open water to visually accommodate a display of this size.

A Large Fountain Designed to Be Seen

Fountain size should be considered in relation to viewing distance as well as pond acreage. A smaller fountain can look impressive when viewed from nearby, but may appear undersized when placed hundreds of feet from a home, roadway, clubhouse or public viewing area.

The larger display dimensions of the 5.1JF make it particularly well suited for larger private ponds, golf courses, commercial properties, community lakes and other locations where the fountain will often be viewed from a distance.

Decorative Fountain or Aerating Fountain?

The 5.1JF moves and aerates water while producing its fountain display, but its primary advantage is large-scale decorative impact and pattern flexibility.

If maximum water movement and aeration are your primary objectives and multiple display patterns aren't important, a Kasco VFX aerating fountain may be a better choice. If you want a large fountain with several distinct display options, the J Series is designed specifically for that purpose.
