Kasco 7.3JF 7.5 HP Three-Phase Decorative Pond Fountain
The Kasco 7.3JF is the largest standard fountain in Kasco's J Series lineup. With a 7.5 HP motor and five interchangeable fountain patterns, it is designed for larger ponds and lakes where a substantial water display needs to remain impressive even when viewed from a considerable distance.
The 7.3JF operates on 208–240V three-phase electrical service. The standard model offered here includes a 100-foot power cord, with longer cord lengths and other electrical configurations available by quote.
Five Large Fountain Patterns Included
The 7.3JF includes five interchangeable fountain nozzles ranging from a tall 36-foot vertical display to a broad pattern reaching approximately 46 feet across. This allows the fountain's appearance to be changed without replacing the motor or float system.
- Birch: approximately 26' high × 16' wide
- Spruce: approximately 34' high × 12' wide
- Redwood: approximately 36' high × 8' wide
- Linden: approximately 26' high × 46' wide
- Balsam: approximately 21' high × 36' wide
Redwood provides the tallest included display at approximately 36 feet, while Linden creates the broadest pattern at approximately 46 feet wide. The other included nozzles provide several choices between these two extremes. Additional Kasco Premium Nozzles are also available separately for even more display options.
Built for Large-Pond and Commercial Installations
The 7.3JF is a substantial fountain intended for applications where smaller units may simply disappear visually into the surrounding landscape. Typical installations include larger private ponds, commercial properties, golf courses, resorts, community lakes, municipal ponds and other highly visible water features.
Because the 7.3JF requires 208–240V three-phase power, electrical service should be confirmed before ordering. Three-phase power is commonly available at commercial and institutional properties but is less common at residential locations.
Is the 7.3JF the Right Size for Your Pond?
Kasco suggests the 7.3JF for ponds up to approximately 3.5 surface acres. Acreage is only a starting point when selecting a decorative fountain. Pond shape, available water depth, viewing distance and the desired visual impact of the fountain are also important considerations.
The 7.3JF requires a minimum operating depth of approximately 28 inches. With fountain patterns reaching as high as 36 feet and as wide as 46 feet, adequate open water around the fountain should also be considered when choosing its location.
Viewing Distance Matters
Large ponds can make surprisingly large fountains appear small. A display that looks impressive from 100 feet away may have considerably less visual impact when viewed from a home, roadway, clubhouse or public area several hundred feet from the water.
The 7.3JF is particularly useful when the fountain needs enough height and width to remain a prominent feature across a larger body of water. Its five included patterns also allow the display to be adjusted depending on whether height, width or overall visual presence is most important.
Decorative Fountain or Aerating Fountain?
The 7.3JF moves a substantial amount of water and provides oxygen transfer while operating, but its primary purpose is to create a large decorative water display with multiple pattern choices.
If maximum aeration and water movement are the primary objectives and decorative pattern flexibility isn't important, a Kasco VFX aerating fountain or a properly designed diffused aeration system may be a better choice. If visual impact is the priority, the 7.3JF represents the largest standard option in the Kasco J Series.
