Kasco 2.3JF 2 HP Three-Phase Decorative Pond Fountain

The Kasco 2.3JF is a 2 HP decorative fountain designed for ponds and lakes where 208–240V three-phase electrical service is available. It combines the impressive display size of Kasco's larger J Series fountains with five interchangeable fountain nozzles, allowing you to change the appearance of the fountain without changing the motor or float system.

The standard 2.3JF offered here includes a 50-foot power cord. Longer cord lengths and other electrical configurations are available by quote.

Five Fountain Patterns Included

The 2.3JF includes five interchangeable patterns ranging from tall, narrow displays to broad patterns extending nearly 40 feet across. This gives you considerably more flexibility than a fountain with a single fixed spray pattern.

• Birch: approximately 11' high × 10' wide
• Spruce: approximately 21' high × 10' wide
• Redwood: approximately 22' high × 6' wide
• Linden: approximately 15.5' high × 38' wide
• Balsam: approximately 14' high × 32' wide

Choose a taller, narrower pattern when vertical height and visibility are important, or switch to one of the broad patterns when you want the fountain display to occupy more of the pond's open-water area. Additional Kasco Premium Nozzles are also available separately for even more display choices.

When Does the 2.3JF Make Sense?

The important distinction with the 2.3JF is its three-phase motor. It is intended for properties where 208–240V three-phase electrical service is already available or is being incorporated into the project. This is more common in commercial, municipal, golf course and larger institutional installations than at a typical residential pond.

If you need a 2 HP J Series fountain but have 208–240V single-phase service, the Kasco 8400JF is generally the corresponding model to consider.

Is the 2.3JF the Right Size for Your Pond?

Kasco suggests the 2 HP 2.3JF for ponds up to approximately 1 surface acre. Acreage is only a starting point, however. Pond shape, water depth, desired display dimensions and the location from which the fountain will be viewed should also be considered.

The 2.3JF requires a minimum operating depth of approximately 20 inches. With some included patterns reaching 32 to 38 feet in width, adequate open-water area should also be considered when choosing the fountain location.

Decorative Fountain or Aerating Fountain?

Like other J Series fountains, the 2.3JF provides water movement and oxygen transfer as water is projected into the air and returned to the pond. Its primary advantage, however, is its decorative versatility and multiple display patterns.

If your primary objective is maximum water movement and aeration rather than decorative pattern selection, a Kasco VFX aerating fountain may be a better fit. If appearance and the ability to change fountain patterns are important, the J Series provides considerably more display flexibility.
